What to Bring:
- Closed toed shoes for any outdoor games/activities
- Sunscreen if you plan to be outdoors
- Drinks if you have something specific you like to drink. We will provide a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, beer, and wine, but if you only drink shots of Fireball chased with RC Cola, we didn’t think of that and you should bring it yourself you goddamned monster.
- The dress code (as always) is “wear what you feel comfortable in”, but if you would like to dress to the theme, think Carnival/Fair/Circus.
Seriously, you don’t need to bring anything as a gift or to share. We don’t care what that online etiquette guide said-you really, truly, don’t need to bring anything. But, we sympathize with those of you that MUST bring something, as Emily is also one of those people. SO…
Feel Free to Bring But Don’t Feel Obligated to Bring:
- Snacks to share (see below for restrictions)
- Drinks to share (see below for restrictions)
- Instruments if you would like to have a jam sesh
- Camp chairs/picnic blankets/etc.
- Games (indoor or outdoor)
What NOT to Bring:
- Yourself, to Camp Carlson before 1:00 pm. We are very excited to see you, but there are a ton of things to do to get ready for the party on Saturday. If you get to town early, please take advantage of the legendary Ellensburg hospitality until 1:00 to help keep Emily sane.
- Fireworks of any type
- Any shared foods that need to be refrigerated (fridge space will be non-existent)
- Bottles of hard liquor unless you intend to finish them.
- Durian
- Your cough, stomach bug, or any other communicable diseases. If you are sick, STAY HOME!
We currently do not have any guest rooms open for overnight stays. You are welcome to camp at Camp Carlson. We have plenty of room for tents, RV’s, etc. if you would like to “rough it” but still want access to indoor plumbing. There are also many adequate hotels in the area (check the front page for links) if you want to hang during the day but have privacy at night. Please do not drive under the influence!
Important Notes:
*All outdoor activities are weather permitting. Axe Throwing and Archery require eye protection (provided) and closed toed shoes (not provided).
**Note: If you can’t come, don’t want to come, have other plans, don’t feel comfortable, etc. that’s FINE, just RSVP no. You don’t owe us an explanation for a Camp Carlson party!
